Electrical Space Heater Issues

We have a 2024 Wayfarer, 25RW, and the coach electrical space heater stopped working. Is there an Owner’s Manual for this item? We have scoured everything we got from our dealer and cannot find anything that addresses our problem. Can you point us in the right direction?

Water Under Coach

2023 Tiffin Allegro Bus. We have water under the coach, but no water inside the coach. Any suggestions? We are in Florida, so the pipes are not frozen.

We would need a little more information, but from the information given our suggestion would be to check all valves, all clamps on hoses, and make sure all inside of bay doors and around bay doors are sealed properly.

Washing an Open Road

Washing the exterior of our 2026 Open Road 34 PA involves the use of a Hotsy pressure washer (wide fan spray), Hotsy’s Breakthrough! Advanced Formula detergent and suppling the pressure washer with softened water as our well water is quite hard naturally.  Without hand drying the vehicle, we do end up with whitish spots from the softened water.  Can you please recommend a procedure for removing the dried soft water spots from the vehicle finish?

Dear Jim,

The reason you are getting the white spots is because of the softener, but you can always wax it after you wash it. That will get all the white spots off of it and make it where it won’t stick next time.

Shower Leak

Found a leak under the shower floor pan and determined that it was the HepvO filter and it should be replaced…problem is that there is no access to that area except for the small (4×6 inch) panel that you can only get one arm in to work on it while lying on the floor…how can it be replaced without taking out the entire shower or cutting a hole underneath?

The only other option would be to cut and make the access panel bigger. 

Sliding Closet Door Replacement

The lower track of one of the two sliding closet doors in the bedroom broke and the bottom of the door no longer has guidance. I don’t know how to remove the door from the top guide to evaluate part needs. Can Tiffin provide replacement parts?

Tiffin can provide replacement parts. To get the door off the track, there is a black tab to press on the track to pull the door off the tracks. Once the door is off, you will have to measure the track to make sure the right one is ordered 

Hydraulic Fluid in Jacks

You might remind your readers to check the hydraulic fluid when they have issues with there slides and jacks. I have a 2013 phaeton that had an issue with the jacks. 3 of the 4 worked great but the forth would only extend to the ground but would not lift to stabilize the coach. By adding hydraulic fluid fixed the issue.

Thank you for the reminder. It’s part of regular maintenance to check jacks and hydraulic fluid on your coach. When you check them, the jacks need to be up and slide-outs in.

Updating Navigation System

I have a 2013 phaeton how do I up date the navigation system.

With that year model, the radio/ navigation system is no longer supported by Kenwood. You would need to buy a updated system. 

Fridge Power Off

We have a 2025 Phaeton and unlike our 2015, the refrigerator panel on the front does not appear to give me the ability to turn the fridge off. What am I missing?

Dear Ken,

To completely turn off power to the refrigerator, switch off the refrigerator breaker located in the rear 50-amp breaker panel. The refrigerator does not have its own power switch.

Water Pump Control Switches

Good evening, I have a 2009 43QBP Allegro Bus. One by one all the water pump control switches stopped controlling the pump, wet bay, galley sink, half bath and master bath. Was told and confirmed by a Tiffin Tech at an FMCA rally that it’s the magnetic relay switch that controls the pump. Where would this be located in the basement. I’ve looked behind the panel in the wet bay and I can see the water pump wires and the wires from the wet bay disappear up into the frame somewhere. Truly is a mystery, thanks any ideas would be helpful.

The latching control switch is typically found above the tanks behind the wet bay panel. The part number is 3648. 

Key FOBs Stopped Working

Would Tiffin please send out a recommended fluids chart for my Allegro Bus? Oil, Hydraulic oil, Coolant, Aqua Hot antifreeze, etc.

The only 2 we can say for sure is the Hydraulic oil and the Aqua Hot. Hydraulic oil can be automatic transmission fluid and Aqua hot is propylene glycol boiler fluid.
