Joann and her husband travel across the United States in their Tiffin Allegro Bus named WonderBus. They have been traveling full-time for seven years and enjoy experiencing adventures in the great outdoors. Joann has published several Adventure books with the goal to help make travel planning easy. Learn more about her travels and books HERE.
Below are 5 of Joann’s favorite travel apps and written in her words why they are a must-have for any RV traveler.
This is a great App for phones and computers. Perfect for placing overnight locations on a map and highlighting the driving distances. I use it to log my fees and cancellations in the notes.
This cool app pairs RVs with a network of breweries, farms, distilleries, and attractions for free overnight boondocking stays; visit the location’s business. Display a map and has reservations. My favorite is Las Cruce, MN, Rio Grande Winery!
Phone App, Facebook group, and website with US map and highlights more upscale resorts. Compiled by volunteers and Facebook Groups, it lists more upper-tier resorts. (FREE APP)
Never get lost. Turn it on to track your hike or backroad Jeep trip even when you don’t have cell service. It allows you to see how to return the way you came since some hiking trails are unclear. (FREE VERSION AVAILABLE)
Over 50 trails in the US are classified by Jeep as Badge Of Honors. Each trail is rated, some gravel roads and others Class 10 hard! Drive the trail, check into the app while on the trail, and the badges are free. My favorite trail is Fins and Things in Moab, UT. (FREE APP)
