We are using this feature in our digital RIS magazine to give you an outlet to ask and have publicly answered your questions about Tiffin, the RV industry, or anything else you’re interested in knowing more about!

Here is a question we received from a 2018 Phaeton 40 IH owner: “Why was your parts department shut down from December 20 to January 6? We were traveling just before Christmas, had a blown suspension air bladder, and the truck center in Amarillo said Tiffin couldn’t ship parts due to year-end inventory. We had to track down the part ourselves. Isn’t this outdated? Other industries use perpetual inventory systems to avoid this. Can Tiffin improve?”
The simple answer: You’re right. That extended shutdown shouldn’t have happened. Our customers count on us throughout the year, especially during the holidays. We let you down, and I take full responsibility. It was a planning failure, and it won’t happen again.
Going forward, our Parts and Service departments will remain open during the holiday season, with closures limited to the following days in 2025:
These are the only planned closures for the year. We’re committed to being available when our owners and service partners need us most.
Regarding inventory, we use a perpetual system powered by SAP, and our team does an excellent job managing thousands of parts quickly and accurately. The issue wasn’t the system. We simply didn’t have the right staffing policies in place to support customers during the holidays. That’s been corrected. Thank you for your patience, and for sharing your experience.
