Contact Us!It all started with Bankston Motorhomes. Steve Denney was buying a certain brand of RVs when the GM called one day and said, “Steve, the next time you are getting ready to buy another RV, I think we are ready for you to shift over to the Tiffin products.”
While at an RV park, Steve saw a Tiffin with a new full-body paint job and decided to call Bankston, instructing them to go ahead and order one for him. Once he got this first Tiffin, he had a few issues he needed worked out and within two hours, Bob Tiffin called and said, “I understand you’ve bought a lot of coaches from Bankston, and I would like to have your business. If you go back to Bankston and get a few things buttoned up on it, I will build you a new coach.”
In 2007, Bob Tiffin built Steve his first coach, marking the beginning of Steve’s loyalty to Tiffin. A year later, he bought another coach, establishing a pattern that continued for several years. For a period, Steve switched to buying used RVs but eventually returned to purchasing new ones. One of the last new RVs he and his wife, Vicki, bought was in 2010; after that, they opted for repossessed and used ones until 2022. Post-COVID, they resumed buying new RVs, acquiring one in 2022 and another in 2024. After the pandemic, finding a new RV seemed nearly impossible, but Steve and Vicki managed to buy the last 45 OPP on a lot in Memphis, TN.
Over the years, Steve and Vicki have formed many lasting friendships through the Bob Tiffin Service Center, with friends spanning from California to Florida to Texas. These connections have remained strong, and they frequently camp together in Florida during the winter. The bonds made at the Service Center have endured, with regular texting and calls to stay in touch.
In 2019, Steve and his wife embarked on their last big trip in their Phaeton, spending three months exploring the West Coast. During the summer, they love visiting the Panhandle, North Myrtle Beach, Michigan, and Ohio. After staying in their rig for three months in Florida, they always feel ready for a break when they return home. They also have plans to hopefully visit New York, Maine, the Baseball Hall of Fame, the Finger Lakes, Oklahoma City for women’s softball, and Omaha, Nebraska for the men’s college World Series.
When camping, Steve and Vicki are frequently approached by curious fellow campers asking about their coach. They are always welcoming and eager to share their positive experiences with Tiffin and the community in Red Bay. They emphasize that Red Bay is a place where people genuinely care for one another and help make meaningful connections. Acknowledging that moving a house down the road requires proper maintenance and care, Steve and Vicki deeply appreciate the hardworking network in Red Bay that goes the extra mile to assist them. They love cooking, doing dishes, and cleaning laundry in their coach, which truly makes it feel like home.
Through it all, the Denney’s journey with Tiffin Motorhomes has been marked by quality, loyalty, and lasting friendships.
